Instead of completely ceasing to blog about the golf swing and mechanics, which I am currently tired of doing, I thought I’d start blogging on a new site as a fresh break from the Smash Golf theme and its focus on Mike Austin and swing mechanics.

There is a Golf Digest online article on Domenic Mazza. It shows Dom’s swing sequence in photo slides that I found interesting. In his swing, I was able to get a great impact position face-on and his address position in the down-the-line view.

I was able to find a not-so-great quality video clip of Robert Garrigus hitting driver down the line, but it has the Minolta Swing Vision slo-mo action capture, which gives you a really nice look at Garrigus’ swing. It’s all about power and leverage.

Bobby Jones had one of the purest “classic swing” motions of all time. He didn’t try to muscle the ball, his swing action was pure leverage and rotation around the spine.
