Video/Fitness Update

DJ - Jan 2 2013OK, I lied when I said I wouldn’t post anymore until the video is finished.  What I’m doing right now (I started last night) is putting some additional material into the video.  I had started out with the basic structure of the eBook, but things kept coming to me in the process.

In addition to the 7 Exercises, I’m adding a new section (call it a drill) that should have people become more familiar with the double-pendulum action of the chain sequence regarding the mechanically-correct golf swing.

This Doesn’t Look Right At All… (Baseball)

cuba1-djw(And NO, I’m not switching from golf to baseball…)

I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with a proper baseball swing, but I bet that most people who have done the 7 Exercises in the MCS 3.0 eBook would probably have something to say about this fella’s technical steps.

Incredibly enough, he has his own “7 Steps,” and I’ve never seen or heard of him before watching this video today.

Whatever differences I may have with the “7 Steps” process of the baseball swing, a baseball swing (the “Back Hip Explosion, Extension and Follow-Through) looks very “baseball” but not very mechanically-correct through the actual impact phase.

Minus 33 Lbs And Counting…

Back in January, I made a decision that it was time to get back into a healthier lifestyle, at least one that would drop some of the extra padding I’ve been layering on in the last couple of years.

I was shocked over the winter to tip the scales at 251 lbs and decided that was it.  Enough was enough.  So I began the difficult process of dropping gained weight.

Time To Get Healthy!

I made a promise to myself that when I was finished working on MCS 2.0, I’d reward myself by getting fit again and dropping many of the junk and garbage foods I’ve been eating over the years.

It’s a discouraging thing to notice that you’ve gotten out of shape and gained more weight than is reasonable even due to reduced activity, but it’s more so when you were involved in sports all of your life from childhood until early adulthood – the photos don’t lie, and boy, do they tell the nasty tale of creeping weight gain! Finally, I had to say “enough is enough…”
